Times move on and change must come, Marcus had spent twenty years working on his Bluebeat Revival project, and his achievements over those years had been very satisfactory, but Marcus was getting itchy feet and felt it was time to move on to different projects, he said "I felt that the Bluebeat revival had run its course and I was starting to feel a little stifled by it, and working with Gaudi had brought me back to where I'd started out in the first place, with more emphasis on the Dub sounds that I'd worked on in my collaborations with Scratch - I felt it was time for a little change of direction."
Although he'd always incorporated elements of Dub into some of his recordings - particularly in the more recent festival scene with The Microdots band - he now decided to put more focus on that aspect of his music.
The song "Bring Change" had originally been laid down during the That Sound Studio sessions, and bringing the track to Gaudi had really opened up the possibilities to expand the sound out of the more rigid "traditional" box that Marcus had adhered to since the advent of his No.1 Station band.
Gaudi's input, and his new mix of the song, along with the monster Dub version, really set the tone for heading forward in that direction, and Marcus decided that he would release the song himself, on his own label.
After a few hiccups with release schedule dates, the record was finally released on July 11th 2025, and has since gained much critical acclaim.
On July 26 Don Letts featured Changa Dub on his Culture Clash Radio Show on BBC Radio 6 Music in his "Don's Dub of the Day" spot where he gave the record a massive boost.
The record received quite a bit of radio play, and sold well.
It was soon time to get rolling with the next single and completing the album.
As soon as 2026 began, Marcus booked Gaudi to work on he finished album. The first track they worked on together was to be the next single. Marcus brought Dave Kemp in to play some sax, Dave Fulwood for Trumpet and Ed Rieband to blow some Trombone on an instrumental version of Tuff Ol Life for the B Side of the new single, At the same session Marcus got the guys to blow on a few other tracks too. The results were very pleasing, and Marcus and Gaudi set off on the project of completing the album. By early March they had completed their task. The album was ent over to Nick Manasseh for mastering and the album was ready to go to press.
At the time of writing, the new single is imminent, and the album is well on the way to being delivered.
